Six Nigerians have been named by the United Arab Emirates as financiers of terrorism including Boko Haram and other criminal activities.

According to Agency Report, the decision was made when the Emirate federal cabinet met in the capital Abu Dhabi on Monday.

The six Nigerians on the list are Abdurrahaman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad.

The 38 names on the list are mostly Arabs from the Middle East.

Also on the list are 15 corporate sponsors of terrorism.

Nigeria Northeast has been bedeviled by terrorism for 12 years with various groups springing up, prominent among which are Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
